UMN offers a post-professional doctoral degree in occupational therapy! This degree is for occupational therapy practitioners who already have a bachelors or master’s degree to practice occupational therapy and seek additional education to elevate roles in leadership, management, advanced practice, or research.
Graduates of the curriculum will:
OT Seminar Discussion Series
Seminar Discussion Series 2024: Join Current OTD Students LIVE as they present and lead a discussion about current topics in the profession!
OTD students choose a topic related to current practice issues and examine the literature for its various perspectives, then lead discussions into their chosen topics.
FREE and open to all, including educators and OT practitioners!
Zoom sessions begin at 2:00 pm Central time. MN contact Hours: 2.0.

Research Summary/Interests
Current: Working to secure faculty PI to secure grant for continued research on the “At Home Too” manualized intervention in an urban primary care setting.
Fox Valley Memory Project, Appleton, WI, 2013-14. Involved in consulting and volunteering with the “Memory Cafés” in the greater Fox Valley for caregivers and those with Alzheimer’s disease and related memory conditions. Facilitated creative story-telling and referrals for the community center day programs and family education center.
OT at the Minnesota State Fair
Sixteen local OTs and UMN OTD students will be collecting hand strength data at the state fair, so please come on over to the Driven to Discover Building. We look forward to seeing you!
